WES & QC FAQs

What support can I expect from QC in the WES verification process? After uploading the certificates’ soft copies to QC, do I have to follow up with my educational institution for transcripts to send to WES? And if I missed uploading any required documents, would QC approach me?
  • Qualification Check’s standard procedure is to contact the primary source of the information. This is the institution at which you studied. QC will regularly contact the relevant department at the institution to confirm the authenticity of your qualification documents. We understand that applications are urgent, and we make every effort to accommodate your needs and expedite processes. Some institutions may take longer than others, but rest assured that Qualification Check is working hard to complete your verification.
  • If your personal mark sheets, transcripts, or credentials are valid, there is no need to contact your institution. You only need to share these documents with QC when the application is created, and QC will work with the institution that issued/awarded the credentials in your application on your behalf. If you do not have personal mark sheets, transcripts, or credentials, then you will need to obtain these to submit your application with QC and WES. If your institution requires any additional documentation to complete the verification after your submission, the institution will notify QC, who, in turn, will email you to let you know that your action is required and that you need to update your request.

I want to start my verification process with Qualification Check. Do I need to contact my university in order to get a verification?
  • If your personal mark sheets, transcripts, or credentials are valid, there is no need to contact your institution. You only need to share these documents with QC when the application is created, and QC will work with your institution on your behalf. If you do not have personal mark sheets, transcripts, or credentials, then you will need to obtain these to submit your application with QC and WES.
  • If you decided not to use the QC-expedited verification service, then you will need to have documents sent to WES from your institution following the normal WES application process.

Does Qualification Check send a report to WES to complete the verification process?
  • A QC Verification Report is sent to WES once your credentials are verified with the institution. The documents you provide to Qualification Check are sent at the same time to WES.

How do I know if WES is able to access my verification?
  • Qualification Check will email you once the verification has been completed. This is also visible in your QC portal.
  • Qualification Check reports are shared with WES upon completion of the QC verification process. This will be updated on your My Account page in the WES portal.
  • If any additional documents are needed once QC has shared the report, WES will send a notification to you which outlines what credentials do not have documentation.

Why would I use Qualification Check to verify my documents with WES?
  • The Qualification Check Expedited Verification process speeds up the overall WES evaluation process by taking your personal documents and verifying them directly with your institution on your behalf. This effectively eliminates the need for you to ask your institution to send documents directly to WES.
  • QC’s turnaround time for document verification is, on average, 3-4 days for most institutions. If you follow the normal WES process, the turnaround time varies a lot more widely since WES relies on the applicant to submit a request to the institution and on documents being sent from the institution to WES either electronically or by mail.

How fast can Qualification Check provide me with a verification?
  • Qualification Check has an established relationship with many institutions globally, and we have proven that we can typically process a verification much more quickly than the applicants can themselves. QC’s turnaround time for document verification is, on average, 3-4 days for most institutions.

QC FAQs

How do I submit my qualifications to be verified?
  • In order to submit a verification request, you must first create an online account using the unique link provided by WES. Once you have completed the two-step registration process, you will have access to your online account for Qualification Check.
  • Search for the name of the institution at which you obtained your qualification(s), and follow the steps to enter the required information to submit a verification request. Your details will then be sent to the appropriate institution to be authenticated by the appropriate department.

I can’t find my institution on the QC platform.
  • If you cannot find your institution in the system, please refine your search by adding filters such as the country in which the institution is located. The search bar uses keywords to locate the institute, so perhaps try entering different parts of the university name to find it. For example, for Imperial College, you may search for “Imperial” or “London.” If you are still unable to find your institution, please contact [email protected].

My verification is still pending. What do I do?
  • There is no need to panic – Qualification Check is here to help. We understand that applications are urgent and make every effort to expedite processes. Continue to check the online platform for updates on your verification every 48 hours to track its progress. Updates are added to your I’m Verified Wallet on the QC platform – in order to see these, you need to click on your pending verification, then scroll down to Event History. Please note that some institutions may take longer than others, but rest assured that Qualification Check is working hard to complete your verification.

I need to follow up on an existing application.
  • Check your online platform for updates in the Event History on your verification every 48 hours to track its progress. You may also use the live chat function for further details on the status of the verification, or contact [email protected]

I need to add additional credentials to my verification request.
  • Please contact [email protected] – a member of our team will be able to reopen your application, which will be presented to you the next time you log onto the QC platform. Please note that although it may appear that the application process has started again, your previous education verification(s) are already attached. You only need to submit your new or additional qualifications.
  • Verifications are completed per credential. Adding credentials to your verification request will incur additional costs.

Why am I being asked to pay for my verification?
  • Qualification Check provides expedited service for the verification portion of your WES evaluation. If you choose not to expedite the verification, there is no additional charge from WES, although you will need to contact the institution and arrange for them to send documents to WES. This may cause the verification process to take longer. Some institutions also charge for this service.
  • The institution or organization you are applying to is enlisting the assistance of the Qualification Check in order to complete the verification of your academic qualifications. Qualification Check specializes in academic verifications and understands that applications are urgent, and we make every effort to accommodate clients’ needs and expedite processes. The verification payment is related to the service provided by Qualification Check.
  • I can’t pay in dollars or pounds sterling using my local currency.
  • If the account is registered in Nigeria, please be aware of the following: Locally issued Nigerian payment cards are currently limited in the amount they can transact via international payments. Where possible, please use a non-Naira currency card or debit or credit card enabled for international transactions. Please try a different card(s) if there are any issues with payment.

I can’t log onto QC – it says my username or password is invalid.
  • If the password and username are both correct, please contact [email protected] for assistance. You can also reset your password by selecting “Forgot your password?” on the login page.
