Operations Manager – Mumbai

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage end-to-end Background Verification (BGV) operations. The role involves driving process efficiency, ensuring compliance, managing client relationships, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Manage end-to-end BGV processes (Education verification preference etc.)
• Ensure TAT (Turnaround Time) and quality benchmarks are consistently met
• Monitor daily operations and resolve escalations proactively

2. Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage team leads and executives
• Drive team productivity, performance, and engagement
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a point of contact for key clients
• Ensure client SLAs are met and maintain strong relationships
• Handle client escalations and provide timely resolutions

4. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal quality standards and audit requirements
• Maintain compliance with data privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, DPDP)
• Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions

5. Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
• Work closely with HRIS/Tech teams for system improvements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

6. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly reports
• Track KPIs such as TAT, accuracy, productivity, and cost
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership

Key Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in BGV/Verification/Operations
• Strong understanding of BGV processes and compliance
• Proven experience in team handling and operations management
• Good knowledge of MIS, reporting, and Excel
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
